Seems like they replaced their chips with some thick kind from Costco.
Other than that the food  comes our piping hot, drinks are always refilled automatically, and the Chile Relleno is the best here.

Good wholesome Mexican food. Great service and the chile relleno is fantastic. The best I've had.

Ok food, ok server,  good mixed drinks and a dingy atmosphere.

Parking here is ok - hopefully it isn't too crowded to find street parking - so that kind of sucks . . .

Walking in it too a little bit to get seated - though there weren't many people there for a Wednesday evening.  Ok.  So we sit and the waitress was nice enough but she would either rush us or forget about us.  Hum, ok.

I ordered the chicken enchilada with rice and beans.  The chicken was soft and red sauce was tasty.  The beans were standard but the rice quite dry.  The chips were fresh and crunchy, the salsa had too much tomato in it.  But hey, free is free.

The house margaherita's were pretty tasty - especially that second one.  It was a good blend and not too sweet.

The place though feels a little run down and darker on the inside.  But not very lively, I don't really remember any decorations and an odd layout.

Good food, good service.  I don't know if they still have it but they used to have a DJ on Saturday nights and karaoke (mostly in spanish) sometime during the week and that was fun. I rented the whole place for my 18th b-day  and it was lots of fun.   It's kind of a local hang out if you are going to go at night but during dinner time you should not feel wierd.

I am never disappointed when I come here!!! Back in the day they had the most awesome kareoke  on Thursdays ... it slowly faded...but we are trying to bring it back.

Drinks are good... and a good price... the food here is sooooo goooodddddd!!!!!! Their lunch portions are good if u didnt eat breakfast.... so it's best to come here for an early dinner and enjoy their authentic mexican food... It's family owned... so you know there is some kind of family recipe for those beans and enchiladas....(yum) I heard that on Fridays they have a dj.... but uh I don't really dig the mexican rock music.

My mom is like the "Norm of Cheers" in this place... she had been going for like 11 years.. every Thursday after work chillin at the bar... getting roses from dudes and singing her songs! I have rented this place out a few times for parties... and everyone always gives good reviews for the service and food and drinks!!!
(renting the place out is not expensive at all)

I want my party here in April!!!! woohooo!!! ;o)

this place is great for authentic mexican dishes. . .if you like chevy's or el toritos, it's not for you.

the combo plates are the best value but i can never eat that much for lunch!  besides i love their enchiladas and one enchilada w/melted cheese sprinkled upon refried beans is plenty fulfilling.  a coworker ordered a burrito that was the special for the day once and the burrito was the biggest burrito i had ever seen - it had to be eaten w/a knife and fork; there was just no other way.  based on her review, it was pretty good.
